Can we obtain information about structuring of Esan Battery?

Esan Battery was established in Istanbul, in 1978. It carried out its battery production activities for long years in 4th Levent, built a modern facility in Ayazağa, in 1999, in terms of increasing business volume and growing organization structure and moved all of its production and management activities to this facility. It will be moved to Gebze facility of 20 thousand square meters with production capacity of 2,5  million in 2016, and will carry out all of its activities from here.

Our Company, which completed its ISO 9001 Quality Management System studies, in 2006 and gained right to have document, completed ISO 14001 Environment Management System and OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Security documentation studies. In 2012, it started ISO/TS 16949:2009 Automotive Sector Quality Management System studies.

Esan Battery adopted Environmental Conscience and Customer Satisfaction as a principle with its experience and knowledge of about 40 years inside and outside Turkey with its increasing sales network and organization, and continues its studies with motto of “Positive Energy”.

How many employees do you have within the Company? What takes place among your employment targets in new period? According to what you realize your employment plans?

In our Company, we have 35 white-collar and 70 blue-collar employees. Both white-collar and blue-collar employees will work in our Gebze location to which we will move within this year.  

We determine needs of our departments in meetings that we hold at the end of year and in interim periods with our managers, and start background researches. We are filling our positions according to order of priority. The fact that these needs and targets of our company coincide and each position in our organizational chart takes us a step further has great importance.

How a career possibility is provided for your employees on Human Resources area?

Vision of our Human Resources is to create a reliable working environment for our employees, to provide employee satisfaction, to develop information, skill and competences of qualified employees of our customer-oriented company attaching importance to ethical values, to reveal potential, to be the most preferred company in the sector and to maintain this position. We base on this vision in career possibility of our employees. We evaluate them not only with work they do but also with value they add to the Company. We realized Positive Opinions, our proposal system including both blue-collar and white collar, 3 years ago to be able to measure this contribution. We make contribution to work we made with this project, and we can make a fair evaluation on career paths by revealing potential of our employees.

Which Human Resources processes are applied in your Company? Which applications are performed on Human Resources area?

Personnel selection and placement, performance management, career management, price management and training processes are applied in our Company. This year, especially we will technically concentrate on our trainings in subjects such as communication, leadership and becoming team.

What take place among future plans on Human Resources area of your Company? You stipulate which subjects will be revealed by Human Resources in the future?

We realized human resources management last year while performing only personnel and entity works. Thus, we have many projects ahead of us on this area. As a management team, we will firstly give all supports to adapt our team to our Human Resources processes and to develop this department, and closely follow development of Human Resources processes.

Our Human Resources policy is to employ correct people with our customer-oriented approach, to select high potentials within our company, to evaluate targets and performances, to make promotions, assignments and career planning and to maintain our long-term cooperation with our employees. Performance evaluations and career planning especially training will come to the forefront on Human Resources area in this policy line.
